Can your connection actually hold a 4K stream?
A generic speed test gives you a number. This one tells you what that number means for live TV: which quality will hold, how many devices you can run at once, and whether buffering is your connection's fault or your provider's.

How to read this number
This measures your connection to this server, right now, on this device. It is a ceiling, not a guarantee: your actual IPTV experience also depends on the distance to your provider's servers, how oversold they are at peak, and your Wi-Fi.
If this number is healthy but streams still stutter, the problem is downstream of your connection. Work through the buffering fixes instead, and see the full speed requirements per quality.
Test over Wi-Fi and again over Ethernet if you can. A large gap between the two means the fix is your router or its placement, not your plan.
How much speed does IPTV really need?
Less than most people assume, and the headline figure on your broadband contract is rarely the constraint. A single 1080p stream needs roughly 8 to 15 Mbps sustained, and 4K around 25. The word doing the work is sustained: a connection that peaks at 200 Mbps but collapses for two seconds every minute will buffer, while a steady 20 Mbps line will not. That is why this test runs for several seconds instead of reporting a burst.
Why live sport is the hardest test
Fast motion and crowd detail are expensive to encode, so a football match pushes far more data than a studio news bulletin at the same nominal resolution. If your streams only break up during matches, you are close to your ceiling rather than past it. Wiring the TV in over Ethernet is usually enough to recover the margin.
What this test does not measure
It measures the path between this device and our server. It cannot see how oversold your IPTV provider is at 21:00 on a Saturday, and that is the most common real cause of buffering on an otherwise healthy connection. If your speed is comfortably above the tier you are trying to watch and it still stutters, the bottleneck is the provider.
